Kivo is an independent multiplayer memory card game for players who enjoy Cabo-style low-score memory card games. You play in a browser, with friends, Live, asynchronously, or around a physical table with phones as the board. Lowest score wins.
What Kivo is
Kivo is a multiplayer memory card game. Each player starts a round with four face-down cards and privately looks at exactly two of them. From then on you must remember hidden information as cards move. Kivo is playable online in a browser and can be installed as an app on your device.
How the gameplay works
On your turn you draw from the deck or take the visible discard, then replace a hidden card or discard what you drew. Some discards offer Peek (look at one of your cards), Spy (look at an opponent card), or Swap (exchange without revealing). You may Call Kivo to end the round after everyone else gets one last turn. Lowest hand total wins the round. A failed call adds +10 to that round.
Live play
Live is real-time online Kivo — Quick Play matchmaking or a Private table with friends (2–6 players). An account is required to sit at a Live table.
Turn-Based async play
Turn-Based is the same Kivo rules at a slower pace. Take your turn when you can, including across sessions. Recollection records what you have legitimately learned. Optional turn notifications (including on an installed web app) remind you when it is your turn.
Playing with friends
Invite friends to Live Private, send a Turn-Based challenge, or sit together in Real Life. Ranked is matchmaking only — there is no Ranked-versus-friend mode.
Real Life phone-table mode
Real Life is for people in the same room. Phones become hands and territory; you join by code or QR. The host uses a Kivo account. Guests can join that table without creating one.
Play in the browser
You can open Kivo in a browser with no app store. Public pages — Home, Games, Collection, How to Play, and Ranked Top 100 — are browseable without signing in. Creating a free account saves progress and unlocks online play. Install Kivo to the home screen when you want a standalone window.
Kivo is an independent game and is not affiliated with third-party Cabo brands.
